Tophane Fountain (1732)
Commissioned by Sultan Mahmud I, this historic Ottoman baroque fountain once stood by the Bosphorus to offer water — and mercy — to travelers.
With four façades and floral carvings, it remains one of Istanbul’s most beautiful public waqf monuments.
Still flowing, still remembering.
